Blower immediately died

I know these fans go bad and / or the resistor will as well. Riding on the beach and the leaving high tide made a descent valley going back out. When I crossed it the water came up onto hood, little deep (2.5 in lift with 31s) but I didn't sit in it, Just real quick drop in and out. I had the a/c going and it immediately shut off. No more fan blowing. Never a sign the fan was going out. All speeds worked as should. Ac and heat worked as should. ac still works good i engage it and hear it pressure up and the engine rpms drop as should and stay down until I push the button again rpms jump up. But no blower fan. None of the speeds. Never seen one immediately die, and almost every one I've seen that seemed dead, you could kick it in the vehicle under the dash and 9 times out of ten they always kicked on and all good. All fuses are good. But I'm not sure about the relays. I saw on another forum a few people talking about a wire or switch or something that can go out behind the controls in the dash. Anyone?
