95 t100-97 t100.
Okay I have a serious situation to make a decision on. My 97 Toyota T100 build went a little rocky for awhile then smoothed out a bit. It's a 97 T100 4x4 5vzfe automatic transmission. I have the opportunity to purchase a 95 4x4 with same options as mine except power windows and locks. Will the wiring harness from the 95 work for the 97? I will also have an extra engine and transmission as well as front and rear differential and transfer case. I have to know that it will work for me before I purchase and travel for a day to get it back home.

95 t100 3.4l
in search of 3.4L for my 95 T100 DX ext cab 4wd manual 5speed. I live in NC but would pay for shipping if I could get an engine. Really want one with less than 200k that's had the head gaskets replaced already. I don't know what years the recall was for but my 95 qualified for it in 98 and Toyota did the work free. 200k miles later the engine went out. I couldn't do the work myself at the time due to a motorcycle accident and paid a shop to do it. They installed a 97 4runner engine and used my old oilpan, and oil pick but did not do the dipstick relocation. They charged me less because the salvage yard didn't have a T100 engine and best price they could find was $700 more. A head gasket blew on it and it sat for over a year. Now it has NO compression on any of cylinders. I tbink all the rings are stuck from sitting and have tried for a month to unseize them with no luck. If anyone has an engine that has less than 200k and no engine noises from worn parts, that was beyond the recall or already had it done...please let me know. I am fairly sure Toyota goes by the vehicle vin # and not by engine # as far as the head gaskets, meaning I don't think they would repair head gaskets to this engine, IF I were to get rings right again...lol. Thanks in advance
