93 t100 3vze with a dead cylinder

Hello, first time posting I've looked this forum over more than one time for help with the yota ha. Anyway driving my truck home about a year ago my motor started making the most godawful racket. I wasn't far from home so I kept driving it and then the noise stopped. When I parked it the motor was idling very rough and had clatter noises toward the front. Back to present day I cranked the truck yesterday believe it or not and same thing so I started pulling plugs to find the dead cylinder and it's the passenger middle(don't know the number ha). I left the plug out and stuck a straw down the cylinder and got dad to bump the starter, well the piston isn't moving. So this is my problem, I'm gonna work on it this weekend and kinda wanted to know what to expect. Last question for this post, can that oil pan come off the 4X4 T100? Easily? Ha thanks guys.

Well didn't get far this weekend but I've started the process of pulling the motor out. Connecting rod seems to be the problem. Suggestions on parts to replace when engine is apart?

How many miles on the engine?

Probably the typical stuff...timing belt, water pump, cam/crank seals, thermostat, maybe the oil pump seal, tensioner/idler roller, maybe the head gasket, check the EGR valve and lines fer carbon buildup...

It's got 190,000 on the motor.

I bought the truck with a blown head gasket so the timing belt is not too old neither are the head gaskets but if I'm pulling all that off I'd have to get new head bolts again right?

Ever finish your motor rebuild? Sounds like you got real lucky if you threw a rod and it didn't punch out a hole in the block. Just curious if the motor is done now?
