OK this is the first time I've ever done the thread thing so bear with me. I recently brought my truck to a mechanic who apparently doesn't work with electrical components very well. OK here's the deal ; One day my truck just wouldn't start , was turning over just not firing up. The mechanic said he thought the alarm system was the cause so he proceeds to pull the alarm system completely out. The truck ran ok for about a week when it shut down again and wouldn't start up. He then tells me he thinks the ECM needs replaced, or at least "Wimpy" the mechanics sidekick thought so. Does anyone know if this would be right? I'm kinda leery of listening to anything they say because when he towed the truck back to my house he said something to the effect of " Well you know when we put that alarm back in there was a mess of wires and we really aren't sure if they are back the way they're supposed to be. I just had to walk away quietly. PLEASE HELP!
