Random wire

Was putting a new battery in my 99 Tacoma yesterday and there was some random wore hooked to nothing just hanging there it looked a lot like the negative terminal wore but went to nothing... I can get pictures of yall need them but what should I do? 😁

Both ends are not connected to anything? Take it out then.

Did the wire some how break is there another end?? It corroded so bad it just broke off??

If it is doing nothing just remove it.

If it's real short someone might have added it as a ground to the fender. Nothing wrong with doing that.

I believe my old truck had that on the negative terminal, it probably grounds to the fender or somewhere close.

I always run a ground cable to one of the inner fender bolts.

I wonder if it was a ground for some added after market device that was removed and just cut and left lay.
