My knock sensor fault won't go away!!!

I have a 1990 4runner. I recently dropped in a new 3vz-e. Suprisingly when I got it all together it was running great. After about 5,000 mile the check engine light came on (code 52). I have replaced the knock sensor and wire (NO FUN!) but the light is still on giving me a code 52, Does anyone know what I can do next??? I need help. Thanks

Thanks that's what I was dreading, Not to sound stupid but how do I get to the ECM. I've followed the wires back to the firewall and that was as far as I got without take the dash apart. Any shortcuts?

its in the pass side kick panel.... basicly on the side under the glove box, take that plastic peice out, and the ecm is right there. To find out if it is a bad wire... disconnect the ecm, then find terminal knk.... use a multi meter to check from the knk of the connector(ecm) the the wires on the knock sensor connector, if U get no resistance...its not a bad wire, you could also check the ground... thats usually the problem, check from the connector(knock sensor) to terminal e1 of the dlc. Sorry if it dont make sense...I'm chasing wire troubles of my own.....maybe someone else will chime in with a better explanation.
