Heavy electrical usage suggestions
Well I just got a 1982 toyota. I have put a hunting rack in it and plan on using this guy as a dual purpose light wheeling and hunting. I am planning on running a few lights and at least 2 spots lights. What do you guys recommend for a setup such as this?
I have heard about a dual battery setup that both get charged and accessories can be run of the second?
Best cheap off road lights that won't be too hard on the system?
Any help is appreciated.

HID's are what you want for low impact on the electrical system.
most aren't cheap though.
the one's i'm getting at about $100 a piece, they're 7" HID's.
it'd be better to just upgrade to a really NICE alternator..one that puts out about 100amps at idle..then run dual batteries.
why do you want so many lights?

Well my buds and I are addicted to Varmint hunting(spot lighting for hogs, rabbits, coyotes) we usually run at least two spot lights at a time and if you have forward facing off road lights up top you can position them off to the front or sides.
Thanks for the info. Any links on good prices for these units?
