Battery question

Feel free to call me a moron or whatever else. Im up for a new battery, and while I've never used one of them, I keep hearing good things about Optima. (In my racers I only used Dyna-Bat's and Brailles, for weight savings.) But the light weight doesn't seem to be to much of a factor here. Those Dyna's and Brailles are kind of pointless to me as a daily driver or an offroader.

So the question is this. Is there actually a difference between Red and Yellow tops. The websites all say Red is great for daily drivers and 4x4's and the yellows are apparently "great for daily drivers or 4x4's".

I understand the yellow is a deep cycle, but they both claim superior performance for starter cranking, lighting and audio over stock. Aswell as shock resistance and leak proof. Should I even bother or should I just go ahead and grab the biggest die-hard I see at sears like I do for my jeeps?

I like the idea of upgrading, but at this point, for the money, if their the same...the cheaper red top looks better, but if it's not an upgrade to a giant standard batt...I'll just get the big standard. If the yellow is actually better then all of em, I'll spend the money. I just don't see a difference here.
