I'm looking around for some cheapish off road lights i was hunting through ebay and came across these hella 500's for 27 bucks (each) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hella-500-Driving-Lamp-Single-Lamp-Stone-Gaurd-6-5-Comet-500-Made-in-Germany-/230949100192?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35c5a39aa0&vxp=mtr I just can't determine what or why these would only be 27 bucks any ideas or reasons why they are this price ?

 

cause they are cheap

 

I have had my 500s for five years now I paid $34.99 (Amazon.com) for the whole kit so I bought 3 kits four on the roof and two on the bumper been great lights especially for the money.....if you use the hella harnesses you can run 100 watt bulbs as well alternator dependent of course.

 

ad says 27 bucks for one light.
does not say what the bulb wattage is either.

 

I could just try emailing the seller to see what wattage the light are . But as for quality wise do you guys think they are the same or like knock off hella 500's ?
