My 2007 4runner just died after the battery warning light came on then the brake light then all the other lights. The radio and dash lights started coming on and off I hit the horn and the speedo went to zero then the car started slowing down and the throttle was non-responsive..any ideas, when I turn the key nothing happens..no lights no clicks nothing!

 

Time to break out the Multi Meter

From how fast things happened

Major circuit protection opened

Battery terminals so loose nothing works

Nothing like being up close and in person

 

Yeah battery terminals are nice and tight there is a smell like something burnt and the car never gave me any notice before There is NO electrical power what so ever, probably gonna get a Mobile mechanic in to test..I cannot even check code warnings as when I turn the key nothing happens! Thanks for the reply!

 

can a bad battery cause the car to just stop working while driving?

 

Yes it is possible but don`t run off and buy a battery to you know
