What do you think of this 94 truck for sale?
I like the truck, nice shape and decent deal. I was gonna nab it back when it was only about 500 bucks and drive or tow it back but looking at the bidding history something is rotten in Denmark!
Notice the bidders names..how very odd.. Also the bid times (some in seconds of eachother by same person), then also notice the amounts-all even!

I would still buy it..dont care i can do the hg myself if need be.
What got me was all the names of the bidders looked almost exactly the same and all bid within seconds or a few minutes and such.
In other words the guy is getting someone to inflate the price for him..

Are you sure? It looks legit to me. If anything the high bidder is proxy bidding and everytime someone bids, ebay automatically bids for that person within seconds. I think the seller can choose to make the bidders names semi-private. Look at all those bidders with positive history. I don't think that's fishy. That's just my thinking.

the thing that I find odd about this auction is that the truck has got New York plates and the seller keeps talking about Kilometers....I lived in NY for 5 years and there were a lot of vehicles sold north and south of the border but if it is registered in NY, i think the seller would be talking mileage...
he says his reserve is set at 1800

I have been keeping an eye on this truck since its E-Bay inception. I am a big fan of the V6 regular cab trucks, but this looks like it might have been owned by a kid. Gold spray-painted rims? Looks cool, but that is about it. If you can take it for under 2K, go for it. Just remember that those head gaskets are a PITA. If you can, get the owner to check the compression of the engine and SHOW PICS. I have been boned this way before. Also, check the fan clutch idler pulley, the water spout idler pulley (top middle), cap and rotor, and the tensioner pulley before you make a decision on whether to purchase or not. Keep in mind that this thing is a BASE model with no tach, oil pressure gauge, or volt meter. Make double sure that these components are operating correctly before you spend money on this vehicle. Remember that in my book, a 3vz-e is a good engine, but hard to work on. If you get a junky engine, you still have an R150, chain drive T-case, and V6 rear 3rd member as assets for parts. And maybe even 4.56 gears from the factory 31" option. Check the CT/R IT/M (?) Code on the door jam.

personally, I would never buy a vehicle off of ebay, too much $$$ and risk involved
if you really think it's worth what he wants for his reserve or a little more, then wait until it's almost over, and if it gets higher than what you would pay, then you wouldn't have won it anyways, and you stayed out of a bidding war that just jacks the price up, if it never gets to his reserve, then email him an offer for $100 less than his reserve
that thing looks nice on the outside,
but it's definately going to have rust issues from looking at the pics,
and it's only a base model,
and it's got high miles,
and it's a 3.0,
and I'm sure there is no (or almost no) related paperwork for all that work that was done (so you're basically taking his word on all that),
and the douche-bag has his friends bidding on it for him,
so yeah, he needs to go **** a ****

from ebay site listing the bid history:
Only actual bids (not automatic bids generated up to a bidder's maximum) are shown. Automatic bids may be placed days or hours before a listing ends. Learn more about bidding.

I don't think that ebay should even allow vehicles, has anyone even heard of someone having a good experience buying a car off ebay? I can't think of any, the people who try to sell cars on ebay know that they aren't going to sell it to someone who goes and looks at the car, so they try to sell it "sight unseen" for more then it's worth, obviously if it was actually worth what they want (or if it was reasonably priced), all they would have to do is throw up a graig'slist ad and it would be sold, selling cars on ebay, that's just plain wrong
the comment was not directed towards anyone here at all, but I'll take the comments down anyways

Too much Rust, High mileage, and unless you took out some stock in PB Blaster any Mods, repairs etc... are going to be a PITA. My '91 I bought in Penna. in '91 and brought to Texas was a Rust Runner for sure. I finally found a donor vehicle here with a blown motor and switched all my engine, tranny, and mods over to it and when it was completed I used for a year I sold it. It is still running strong somewher in Ohio now.
My opinion is look for a better vehicle and pay a little more. The savings in the long run will be well worth it.

If the frame has this much rust seeping out, I would pass on this rust bucket. Sorry but I have been down this road before and I would hate to see anyone dump a bunch of money into something that will not hold up. Better hope the brake lines are in good condition because mine were not and I blew one of them and ran thru an intersection. Luckily no one was crossing at the time. Maybe in person this truck is mint and the pictures don't do it justice. I think not because most of the time it is the other way around. I have seen pictures of vehicles for sale that looked perfect and when you get there it is a piece of crap. I think they hire PlayBoy photogaphers and airbrush the pictures until they look better than they do. Anyway do what your wallet can afford and have fun. If you buy this one I would bet the fun would be short lived. IMHO.......
