What do you have for recovery gear (non-winchers)
How many recovery straps? Come a long or Hi-lift jack? Tree Truck protectors? What is essential as far as what you think you should have in this regard?

I use a 60" Hi-Lift, 2-20' High test chains, a 30' 10K strap and a 10' 20K choker strap.
Along with all of that, I carry a Mattock,4' prybar, axe and compact shovel.
I try to pick stuff that is equal to a 3X 5/3 load if the truck is 4000 pounds, with a 1000 pound load, that would be a 5K load. at 5/3 load, that would be 8300 pounds. at 3X, that would be 25000 pounds.
So yes, my hi-lift and the choker are the weak points. It's just the way the army taught me to look at things as a recovery operator.
