I don't even have a winch yet but thought this is a good idea:

Well I think I have a cure, I designed, built and installed to use a Hawse Fairlead Synthetic Rope Liner. It fits between the fairlead and the front of the bumper and has lips that go inside of the opening of the steel cutout in the bumper. Thus making sure the rope will only touch Aluminum.
Opinions??????? Complaints?????? Bring it on!

An SR5 cluster, complete with ECT lights for her auto tranny.
A tune-up, cuz she needs it!

I'm on those as soon as I finish finals next week.

Maybe some other stuff, we'll see how Christmas goes for me!

fyi: if anyone's looking for a locking diff option, EATON is offering a manufacturer's rebate through the end of the year. i saw the coupon on 4wheelparts, but it appears to be direct to the manufacturer so you should be able to purchase anywhere. rebate ranges from $30 to $70 depending on how much you spend.

"but honey, there's a rebate! it expires at the end of the year!" (make it happen)

sure why not:

the 4wp page: http://www.4wheelparts.com/specials/...er-rebate.aspx

direct at eaton:

http://www.eaton.com/Eaton/ProductsS...nce.com/rebate

you can pull the part # from the application list at eaton's site, then google search that part # to find the best price if you're not picky about the retailer. could save a few more $$, cover your gear oil expense or something.

My truck is a getting new seal kits for the leaking power steering pump and box. Not very fun but it's the only thing I haven't fixed since I got the truck.

Well, she's getting new rear axle seals along with bearings, a set of sliders from AvidOffroad.com: cause I work there and we work on our rigs and nothing else the week after Christmas, maybe a front bumper, a rear bumper, the CB I've had sitting just waiting for time for installation, a Damn good cleaning and she just might get new tint, new front brakes, a full fluid flush, new spark plugs and COP's, maybe a rear locker if Santa brings her (me) one, 4.88's front and rear, Tundra front shocks with OME springs...can't think of anything else...give me time....I'll add to it.

I have a long list of items but I wasn't gonna get the yote anything but another mud bath. Then I found a used locker on craigs (used once then the guy pulled it out and installed an ARB). The 3rd member is now sitting in my kitchen waiting for the lockright to be installed

Spiders out, lockright in....the monkeyknifefite mobile will be trailready for xmas!

edit: damnit, sideways pic

A winch, mount and bumper...yes in that order. Installing may take a month or two to get started/finish.
