Timing Problems
I posted this at marlin, and no help, so Im tryin anything at this point. I was goin down the road, heard a pop, truck died, no spark. So I swapped in a coil, nothing. Couldnt remove the distributor, so took off valve cover, and saw that the gear that drives the distributor had grenaded itself. So we got a new gear and distributor. Now we cant get it to run right. Trying for a day and a half now. People say put it on 0, have the mark on cam gear a lil to passenger side, insert distributor pointing at 12 o clock, it will fall into number 1 spot. We did all this and it still runs like crap. Im lost at this point. Dont know what else could be wrong. Im including pics of where its at now, and pics of the distributor and gear. Sorry about blurry pics, the camera doesnt like to be close. Help me man. I should also note its an 83 celica 22r, we had my old 81 distributor on it, but now we have the celica one on it. It had some sort of fuel injection on the motor that we swapped off, maybe the distributor is different. I dont know http://s492.photobucket.com/albums/r...ng%20Pictures/
