Shop recommendations for 86' p/u restoration in MT
Hi folks!!!
I have an 86' extended cab 4x4 that I would like to get cleaned up mechanically and esthetically. It currently runs and gets used as my town truck. I tinker on it to keep it running, essentially I would like to get it fixed up so I'm not constantly messing with it.
I would like the the following addressed:
*Electrical cleaned up, re-ran and updated.
*Water is getting inside the drivers side fuse box area (maybe coming in from windshield and trickling down)
*All the body seals and gaskets replaced
*Interior reupholstered or rhino lined.
*Slight front end work (kissed a deer and tweeked it a bit)
* Body work where some rust has started
* New paint exterior and interior
* Undercarriage looked over (can discuss if there are major issues found)
* Drivetrain and engine looked over
I have no idea what something like this would cost me or where to begin. I absolutely love this truck and would like it to be in better shape than it currently is.
I'd like to know what everyones thoughts, concerns and suggestions would be. I'm open to other ideas and if anyone knows a reliable shop or person in NW Montana that could help steer me in a direction I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!

The project you have in mind is ambitious, but it can really revitalize your 4x4 and give it a second life! Make sure you plan well and find reliable professionals for every aspect of the restoration.
