Prepping Metal for Paint - Antifreeze

So I've got the interior stripped and am doing some floor repair on my truck. I'm cutting out and welding in new metal when it starts on fire! Didn't have water so had to put it out with antifreeze. I'm planning on cleaning it with degreaser or water and dish soap but am worried about problems with adhesion. Some of this metal is rusted and I was planning on painting with POR-15

Question: Does anyone know how to clean antifreeze from bare metal so it can be primed and painted?

Isopropyl alcohol would probably work best. Standard warning to not use brake cleaner when welding applies.

Well went with dawn dish soap followed by acetone.
We'll see how it works out.

Don't know if it works on antifreeze, but my fave and most effective solution for cleaning the caked on green stuff that always built up on my 82 toyota pickup bed every year (pollen I think) was a bit of Dawn mixed with a bit of Oxi Clean. You want to mix it with enough water to make a good sudsy foam consistency out of it, then pore it on, then just let it foam up and dissolve what you're cleaning. Doesn't take too long and really cleans well.
