At my wits end
Hey guys,
My 4 runner is not starting first thing in the morning, it went away during the summer but the last two nights have been cool 35F and it take a lot of turning over to start the first time. The rest of the day it will start first time every time, but not the first start of the day. I have changed cap, rotor, wires, plugs, o2 sensor, fuel filter, ahhhhh!!!! the only thing I can think of is fuel pump but why would it work the rest of the time. Someone told me about a cold start injector but I can't find it in my crappy repair manual. If someone knows were it is on a 3.0 that would be great.
Thanks again,
James

the cold start injector should be right on the fuel injection manifold. it also could be a battery... i was having the same problem when it was cold in san diego. would crank lots of times before actually catching. have your battery tested and/or replaced as needed. ill talk to my mechanic for ya(hes like 60, has been doin cars since he was 15) and will get back to ya

Worked with a guy that had an F150 do the exact samething... After 2 months of troubleshooting he replaced the fuel pump.. .problem solved. Not saying thats your problem, but worth looking at.. he was able to test his as it is on the frame rail.. truck would not start, took a hair dryer to it for a min or 2... truck started right up..
