how to change brake pads and rotors?
Today I visited yota shop and they tell me I have to replace front and rear brake pads and brake rotors(3mm or less), and it could cost me a big deal 1000$ in total, guys I want to do the job myself by ordering parts, but so far I have only done oil change and filter change, changing brakes will be something new for me, is it hard to do? What tools is required for the task? Can someone refer me to a tech link of specification? Some DIY? Video preferred, Ty!

Very easy job.
Once you remove the tire, you have to remove the caliper (2 bolts) , then the caliper bracket(2 more bolts) sometimes the bracket bolts can be difficult to remove. Then you will be able to remove your brake rotor and pads from the caliper.
Sometimes you will have to hit the rotor with a hammer to get it off. ONLY do that if you are certain you will replace them, as it will Marr the surface of them.
You could potentially find a write up online somewhere that would have pictures.
There is a lot of mark up on brake parts these days. And with labor rates around 100 per hr, it quickly adds up

I think the first time you do a brake job you should have some help. What other parts will also need to be changed you might not notice.
are all the calipers in good shape??
the rubber brake hoses ??
then just what kind of mileage do you have on your vehicle.
Just how are you fixed for tools and a place to work??
