fluctuating idle

Hey guys,

This has been a problem on my runner for som time and I have change a multitude of parts in search of the answer. My truck idles @ 1200 rpm and I cannot turn it down, sometimes after driving, at lights it won't come down past 2000 rpm and I have to put it in 3rd and ride the clutch a it to get it to return to 12-1400. If I have drivin for a good distance and shut the truck off, upon restarting it will idle at 800 rpm until I start driving again. That is it any help would be great.

I have a new o2 sensor, k&N filter, plugs, cap rotor, wires,

Thanks

I would clean the IAC (idle air control). Do this off the truck, I think you can mess up your TPS (throttle position sensor) if not. Then set your idle to the proper RPM and then check your timing.
