cooling system question
so my 22r has been giving me problems I just did the head gasket and what not .. it dosent overheat but it builds pressure in the heater hoses like the upper rad hose it builds pressure fast like run for 10 seconds and theres pressure so I checked my new thermostat found it to be sticky. so at idle even cold it spills coolant out of the top of the rad not spitting or anything just like a flow after a few seconds. ran without the thermostat and it don't happen anymore it flows nice through the rad but no air comes out not like if I had a cracked head or a cracked block and the head was all tested when it was at the machine shop... any ideas did I not get all the air out I just went and got a new thermostat again but haven't put it in yet. the only thing I could think of was an air lock but I swear I got all the air out. any ideas would be great thanks

You say you just picked up another new thermostat. Put it in. If it solves the problem then it was just the thermostat. If not then we think of diabolical ways that could cause your problem.

Just how did you bleed all the air out??
These engines are known for air pockets.
I install a flushing tee at the heater hose fill the coolant and it pushes the air out.
Best way I have found.

ya I have one of them flushing tees at the top heater hose since I noticed that's higher then the rad cap and air will go to the highest point, but as for my luck I ran the truck without the thermostat then drained a little put the second new thermostat in and baam no more super high pressure its don't overflow like It did before and the heater works way better now iam almost positive I got all the air out now all the hoses feel like there the right temp. what pisses me off is I think that's why the head gasket blew and I was worried I would blow it again.... hopefully all good now..
