Hi new to the site, and have a question, looking at getting a 79 toyota long bed, as a DD/ hunting truck. it has a 2l diesel engine that came out of a toyota truck that was in the middle east (he had it shipped over while in army), with a 5spd r151 transmission. 4x4 works.
my question is, is there any thing i need to look for before buying, he said it has a light smoke at idle but when yout give it gas it goes away (he was told it was probably an injector), and he has all the parts to hook up the ac (heater is hooked up already), and several other part that go with the truck he has bought incase he ever needed them.
i am going to look at it tomorrow, just wanted some heads up what to look for.
