Yotasite batting 100, a/c dash wire questions
Wow, the knowledge on this forum could not just build a Yota but could actually Design a kick butt Super Yota. This forum is the greatest although searching for specific knowledge is a pain. Ok everyone knows it gets hot as blue blazes in Savannah,, summer on the way.. I've only had my '88 4WD a few weeks,, worked my way thru a few of the more gutsy things already..I wanna hook up the a/c. Mine still had a few drops of R12, although the A/C switch on the heater panel was missing I found one on ebay (now in hand) problem is that whoever had the truck before me butchered the wiring for the a/c switch and I don't know what else. anyway I cannot find the plug although the nice folks where I got my ebay swictch gave me both ends of the plug.. Problem color to color won't work. See the attached photos and this is what I have to work with.. Also did the conversion to 134 this past weekend and jumping +Batt to compressor I got cold air, First pic I think went to radio??? 4 wire rectangular plug w/white,, green w/red,,black w/white & red w/green wires, Stereo has been switched and operates fine. Now that leaves a single plug with red w/black and 4 more wires that I have no clue but 3 of them gotta be A/C control pushbutton.. one is White w/black stripe and red rings, one is Brown w/black, a solid white and a Blue w/yellow stripe w/red rings. Got the FSM and those colors don't really match either. I'm assuming (dangerous when electricity and circuits involved) that the blue w/yell.w/red is either going to a/c amp or the thermistor, one would be hot and the other maybe ground... I know I could probably spend 3 or 4 days sorting and going thru wires but everyone here probably already knows the answers. I gave 300.00 for the truck drove it home, 22RE FI so far have replaced rear brake shoes and cylinders, clutch master, front crank seal, muffler, installed gauges, needs tires and the wheels are pretty grimey. It has a nearly new Warn 8000 winch. Don't know which tranny I have or what front diff. 4wd doesn't work I don't think but I got a baggie full of new bearings and races and the prop shaft for front was laying in the bed. While I'm here and if you're still reading does anyone have or know where to get EWD040U wiring manual... I HATE wiring.
Thanks y'all
