In what direction does the rear differential crush gasket go ?

In what direction does the rear differential crush gasket go for fill and drain
This is for a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road 4 wheel drive

sorry I was talking about the orientation of the crush Gasket. does the flat side go to the Diff ?

Properly torqued I doubt it would leak with either orientation.
But to answer the question the flat side would go against the stationary side (in the case the diff) while the curved side would face the side rotating(drain plug)
