stupid question

...prob the one of the stupidest questions that will be asked....but....What are wheel spacers used for???...i really have nooooo clue...because i go muddin...and i LOVE IT when i my truck gets covered with mud...but its hard to do...because i have 31" 10.50" tires...which dont stick out past the fenders..at all(but they are super swampers)....but i was wondering if wheel spacers just get ur tires to stick out further or what???

wheel spacers extend the width of the axle
for instance if you were to put an 86-95 IFS rear in ur SA truck, you would want to run 1.5" wheel spacers on the front to match to 3" wider rear

and when the tires stick past the fenders...your going to be running into johnny law in some states

im from oklahoma and i see alot of people running around with wide wheels so i doubt you'll get any trouble from it besides if you do just take the wheel spacers back off and no problem

i ran 35x12.50s on my 79 stock, they stuck out about 3"s on 3.75" BS wheels
also ran 33x12.50s on the same wheels...prolly a better bet to try 33x12.5s
