Replace CV Axle or Boot Only?
my boots are shredded and the front end is kinda making noises.
can i just disassemble everything, clean it up really good, and put new boots,
or should i buy entirely new axles?
is it likely that the axles are damaged?
just looking for the cheapest route
-cheers

I would get new axles. You can just replace the boots, that would be the cheapest way. But it's probably not much more money, and less work to just replace the axles. And if the joints are already noisy you might end up replacing them soon anyway.

don't even bother with the boots...it's a waste of time..lol
get some new CV's from the parts store and make sure they come with a LIFETIME warranty lol..then if they start screwin up..ya just replace em!..of course it would suck to have to replace em every year or something if you're hard on em lol..

Yes, but many stores are getting wise to this and lifetime axles aren't as common as they used to be. Sucks, but I've had good luck w/ my Superior cv axles. Not sure if they're lifetime or not (I'll have to check), but I have 2.5" of lift and no problems.
