I have no reverse only drive,it also goes forward when shifter is in reverse.Started when it blew a line,truck is a 93 4wd any ideas?this is a plow truck that needs help

 

Sounds like its an automatic if it blew a line? First things first, make sure the fluid is full with the correct fluid. You will want to check it, drive it, check it, drive it, that kind of thing. The fluid needs to be well circulated through all the passages, torque converter, etc to get all the air out. Try manually shifting it through the gears also.

If that doesn't work, you could try flushing the fluid, but I kind of doubt that will work. It could be a solenoid that has gone bad in the transmission, or is sticking.

Does anyone know if these auto trans ECUs will allow you to monitor solenoid state with a scan tool?
