no fuel
if i let my truck sit for a day the fuel drains back to the tank and i have to use ether to start it. once it starts it does fine all day till i let it sit for a day i am thinking about putting an electric pump on right now i have an 88 22r with a carb and mechanical pump .

I do not know the carbs as well but are you sure it is draining back to the tank? Seems to me the electric pump would be masking the problem. The mechanical pump does a great job on these trucks, I would see what is wrong with the carb and get that fixed. If it is to much problem a Webber makes a big difference on these and well worth the investment. Easier to work on too.

no i don't know if it is draining back to the tank i just assumed and you know what happens when you assume. once it starts it does fine but i was told it had a check valve in the pump which sometimes goes bad.

I dont know about the 22r but I do know that happened in my old Kawasaki Ninja and it was a float setting in the carb, it was too low, adjusted and it ended up starting fine after sitting for a day, previous to that I had to prime after it sat for more than a day.. Just a thought
