newbie here, wheel spacer questions

hey, i'm new here and have a few questions about wheel spacers/recomendations etc.
first off, i'm going to install a toytec ultimate 3" lift on my 4th gen 4runner sr5 with 285/75/17 bfg alt/ko tires. i'm sticking with stock wheels and have been warned about rubbing. i'm planning to remove the mudflaps, but was wondering if wheel spacers would help and what brands are best. sorry if this is info is posted in another thread, if so, just direct me there if you want, also if i'll have to do any trimming. thanks!
