How bad is it to have a leaking main seal?

Well, I'm in the market for a 4runner. I'm looking for either a cheap 3rd gen or a 22re powered 2nd gen. About an hour ago, I found a '93 4runner with a 22re for $2900. a lot of new parts, decent mileage, but the front main seal is leaking. About how much do you think it would be to repair? I could NOT do it myself because one-I dont have a garage, or access to one. 2nd, I dont think I could do it without someone who knows what they're doing. 3rd, I left most of my tools at my parents house when I moved and Its a 5 hours drive. I really want and need a 4runner so I can haul my friends around and I'm sort of sick of my single cab pick-up
Main question reiteration: About how much do you think the main seal would be to get repaired? If its under like $400, I will probably go buy that 4runner tomorrow
Thank you! Also, heres the link to the ad:

Is that an aftermarket cam? If not, that may be worth asking about.

I'm writing an email to the guy as we speak. Asking if he had it quoted for the seal, about the title ( reconstruct or clean since he had the bumper replaced and the 1/4 panel is damaged) and about the timing chain.

Hm. Well its got a reconstructed title. My mom always told me to steer clear of recon titles. I DO pay for my own insurance, but I'm on her policy..so that would be the main determining factor, trying to get her to let me put a recon titled vehicle on her policy. The new cam is stock. the head is brand new (not remanned) new exhaust valves and ground intake valves. hmm...
