engine swap question

i am currently doing an engine swap on my 95 22re pickup. still working on new engine replaceing chain,pumps,thermostat,oilprsr switch. etc etc...... still have a few questions... wats easier dropping tranny then pull engine? support tranny and pull engine? ive heard of doig this but cant picture how you put the shaft through flywheel etc... or can you pull the enine with the tranny still attached? any help would be apreciated..

Ive always just pulled the engine and left the tranny in. Why do more work then you need to.

Yea, I just pulled the engine and left the tranny in supported with a ratchet strap by the frame rails. The top two tranny bolts are a pain, but a flex head wrench or a whole bunch of extensions and a wobble head socket worked for me.
