Cool Engine Swap

Ok if I were going to put a 6 cyl. in this 87 model which would be the right engine (best) through which year..that would bolt up without any trouble?
This is a carburetor engine also.
Thanks!
Brew.

Well..... no.
Carbed is an issue, and bolt right up is an issue.
Do some searching around for 5vzfe swap inf, or if you wanna put a domestic P.O.S. in it.... there's info on that as well.

that is a complicated answer without knowing the criteria of what you are using it for and the swap laws in your area if you want to drive it on the street.

personally i would say mercedes OM617, but that is only a 5 cyl...lol

You could do a 4.3 V6 swap, but its not a bolt in swap, and in your case would also require a wiring up grade for the fuel injection. Do a search, lots of info here on engine swaps.
