E-Locker not locking any more

I noticed my rear diff locker wasn't locking in a couple of weeks ago. I tried locking it in after i had driven around and still no good. Has this happened to any of you guys before? Any ideas/recommendations?

Motor full of rusted crap and probably a magnet broken off the motor housing. Happened to at least 5 of these that I know of. It's worth a try to take it off, take it apart and see. You might be able to glue that magnet back on with epoxy and regrease everything get a few more years out of it.

There is a crazy heavy coil spring in there and some electrical contacts. If you go slow and are mechanically inclined, shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I've seen non-US Landcruiser threads where the motors were all mucked up...
