clutch issues

I have an "89" 4runner 3.0 manual tranny 4x4.
The other the clutch pedal went to the floor without any pressure behind it. I replace the master and slave cylinders and tried adjusting the clutch pedal and still no pressure at all. Can't bleed the system because of this. Thanks.

Your going to have to bleed the system like that. I've done it many times. You may need 2 peeps to do it but get in it and pump the pedal with your hand if you have to up and down while some one bleeds it. Its going to take a good bit of repeating the step. Pump, bleed, add more fluid if required.

I did bench bleed the master cylinder. Does that make any difference with this situation? I'm just trying to determine if its anything more serious.

got it going. thanks a lot. I didnt realize how long I would have to pump the pedal. Quite a bit, as it turns out, took about 2 hrs. all together. thanks again.
