Hey guys i got my 91 v6 ext cab and im leaking oil out of the bottom of my rear drum. I originally thought my wet drums being wet (look) was my wheels cylinders in my brakes so i replaced that and my rear brakes while there. I drained my rear diff fluid and changed it out too and then later that night i got oil draining down my tire and a puddle on the ground. Im pretty sure its my axle seal leaking now that my diff is full because it was really low.

MY? is how hard is it to replace the inner and outer axle seals?

if it's just the seal should be a 20 min job very easy

Actually the axle tube seal is cake compared to the outer which is between the backing plate and the wheel mounting flange on the axle.

ooo if the bearing side is toast well that's not a 20 min job gonna have to take the brake shoes off may as well replace them if there bad then bring it somewhere that has the right tool to press it apart

its super easy, took me 5 days.. mangled 5 seals....

well pulled it apart and my wheel bearing is shot too. so im bringing it to napa monday to have it pressed off and new one pressed on with the new seal and then put in the new inner seal also monday. How much should i be charged for getting it pressed off and on?

not much, try to find a shop thatd a mechanic do a "cash" job for ya. 40$ at max
