I put a built 85 22RE into my 93 4Runner but the 93 knock sensor doesn't work, does anyone know what years will work and does anybody have one?? Also the pulley doesn't line up right from the crank to the water pump, were the different year pullies a different spacing?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated............ TIM

 

when i put a 87 cab on my 88, i found the hole in the body for the tranny/4x4 stick shifts was too small, cut some metal to allow clearence. speaking logically, if a little thing like that is different, then there are other things that are different. id try an 85 knock sensor. same with the pulley from the crank to the water pump. also id find a book on both engines for CHEAP and read for any differences.
