I have a question with about my transmission, on some days the transmission shirts nicely up the gears with good pick up. Then on some days it will shift harder and it would sometimes feel like the transmission is shifting from 1st gear to 3rd gear and slowly picks up...anyone have the same problem and anyone have a resolution other than pulling the transmission.

 

the majority of older trucks on here are stick shifts so you probably won't get much help.

I had an auto in my 77, it did something similar, I changed the fluid and replaced the filter, worked great until I sold the truck.
