WTB[MidAtl]: AC Compressor Manifold

AC Compressor Manifold
Looking for the AC compressor manifold for my 89 Toyota pickup 22RE. This truck never had factory ac, I installed an aftermarket system a few years ago shortly after I purchased it and have not been happy with it since. The high side pressures are too high when outside temps get above 80. The 134a condenser is just not big enough, big strain on the engine. Charge is only 1.5 lbs. I have an original new Toyota compressor, mounting bracket & tensioner still available from Toyota. Just need that manifold that bolts on top. I believe it would be "peanut" style connection and not threaded with O-ring. A bonus would be to find all the correct lines and a factory condenser. During the install I had to make up bulky crimped hoses/fittings. I am going back with R-12. Thanks and let me know what you have! Dave in Va.

Hey Dave,
Let me know if you find anywhere to buy one of those compressor manifolds. I am in the exact same position, I have an 89 that had an aftermarket system installed after it shipped to the US. I have almost everything hooked up and ready to go but can't find the correct manifold. I thought I had something that was going to work, but there are actually two different types of the "peanut" style connections. One has a small ring right at the back of the connector that won't allow the hoses to sit flush and seal. Pretty sure it is from the aftermarket systems that they used to install, when I pulled the evaporator from under the dash it had a sticker form Ft Worth TX. I have a couple extra compressors now, I tried to buy a compressor with what I thought was the correct manifold and ended up with the goofy connection style. I never would have thought that trying to locate something like this would be so difficult.
Let me know if you find anybody that remanufactures them or if you by chance come across a hoard, lol.
Thanks
Ron
