TSB's

My 03 4runner will be at the shop this week for the cat converter TSB. The dealership thinks that problem is what lead to the huge carbon buildup in one of my cylinders, that and we get the sulpher smell.

What is the fuel rail TSB?

Where can I find a list of TSB's so I can ensure that I dont have anymore that apply.

I am also having them look into a contant tick on the driver side, sounds like top end....any one have this before?

The tick is normal on the V6 from what I hear. It appears to be the fuel injectors making the noise and the fact that the 4.0L is an aluminum block seems to enhance the noise.

Alldata.com has all the TSBs.

Here is a small list on another T4R site: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showth...=&threadid=631

I found this for the Fuel Rail:

Make : TOYOTA Model : 4 RUNNER Year : 2003
NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number : 03V146000 Recall Date : APR 09, 2003
Component: FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE
Potential Number Of Units Affected : 29482
Summary:
ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH V6 ENGINES, THE FUEL PULSATION DAMPER, LOCATED ON THE FUEL RAIL, MAY HAVE BEEN IMPROPERLY ASSEMBLED, CAUSING A DIAPHRAGM IN THE PULSATION DAMPER TO BE DAMAGED. IF THE DIAPHRAGM FAILS, FUEL MAY LEAK.
Consequence:
THIS COULD RESULT IN AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE IF A HEAT SOURCE OR AN IGNITION SOURCE IS PRESENT.
Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PULSATION DAMPER. OWNER NOTIFICATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING MAY 2003. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT TOYOTA AT 1-800-331-4331.
Notes:
TOYOTA RECALL NO. SSC 30C. CUSTOMERS CAN ALSO CONTACT THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION’S AUTO SAFETY HOTLINE AT 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).

Thanks for the info!!

The only thing odd about the tick is that its on the driver side only. My original thought was injectors, but I figured that would be uniform.
