Unhappy Loud wind noise due to roof rack.

I have a 4th gen 4runner sport no sunroof, i recently bought the rola roof rack with the extension and installed it... it looks great just as i thought... however, when i drove at any speed but mainly at about 40mph the noise inside is crzy!! it has to be because of the space between the rack and the roof, opted for removing the wind deflector the rack has and it started to make a wistling noise... so i'm thinking now ill have t get something that goes from the top of the rack to touchingthe roof for a complete wind deflector. I NEED IDEAS!!HELP!!

What mods have you done along with the addition of your rack to reduce the noise? post pics if avail.

Also, new here(lol)... greeting and thanks for all replies...

nature of the beast...maybe try something like a yakima deflector up top.

remove the rack when not in use...half of the racks i see look like they are there for cosmetic reasons...

ya dude i have this roof rack and ya it was louder and i felt a loss in power on the highway with the wind fairing so i took it off when i installed my lights and it works much better though there is a slight whistling noise but i figured that my subs will drown them out. Sry that ur having problems with urs but ya try putting a wind deflector from a yakima bar on the bottom of the roof rack to the top of the runner. Might work... i thought of this when i heard the noise at first also.

make a spoiler for it, cut a nice piece of aluminium and throw a yotatech sticker on it.
