Angry Banged my steering wheel crooked, AGAIN!

Hey,

So, my family car is a 2006 4Runner V8 4x4. I take it off road on real trails but drive it like, well...it's nice family car. Last weekend I again banged my steering wheel out of center for the 3rd time since owning this vehicle. Is this problematic for the 4th generation 4Runner? BTW--the steering wheel gets whacked off center but the 4Runner drives down the (paved) road straight as an arrow...no pull.

I've owned a 2001 TRD Tacoma and have a 1989 truck. Both of the vehciles saw and still see hard trail driving. I've NEVER knocked any of those out of alignment. Never.

Any of you guys have experience with this?

Thanks!

Likely they are not tightening the cams enough and they are rotating.

Did you always get it re-aligned at the same shop each time before? Ya might wanna try getting it sorted out somewhere else and tell them what keeps happening. Before they loosen it up to adjust, have them check how tight it was too.

I did this in my '88 4runner. But I was in a huge rut and doing about 10mph when the rut turned and my truck didn't and came to a dead stop on my front left tire. All sorts of whack
