2007 Toyota Tacoma w/ Frame Rust, 58k

Hello,

New to the boards here, did a search though didn't see any info on this subject surprisingly. Please re-direct if you have any recommendations. I'm looking at purchasing a 2007 Tacoma, 2.7L, Standard Cab, 4x4 w/ 58k miles. I have a 1992 Toyota Pickup 4x4 standard cab and it has less rust then this Tacoma. Was viewing the vehicle yesterday and noticed some frame rust and rust on the drive shaft. See uploaded photos. The vehicle was in Illinois for about 35k miles and has been in Colorado since. It appears some 05-08 Tacomas were recalled in the rust belt states for this very problem. My question is, do I run away from this truck or is the rust manageable?

Well If you can weld it is not a problem.

Although from the pictures it is hard to tell if it is only surface rust or more serious.

The bottom of my truck looks like that every spring from the liquid brine constant attention is needed
