My 2006 Tacoma just threw a rod and now I’m in the market for a replacement. I came across a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4.0 engine for sale online—seller says it’s from a rollover with about 120k miles, and it looks pretty clean in the pics. Tempting, but I’ve never done an engine swap before and not sure what to watch out for with these 4.0 V6s. Anyone here swapped in one of these or bought a used Tacoma engine recently?
