Welding ?

Ok I am soon to start building my bumpers. I have a wire welder but have never built anything that needed to be this strong. What type of wire should I use?

Solid MIG wire (welding with gas) you can use either .035" or .045" wire.
Gasless Flux core wire you have to use .045" wire.

Open the access panel and there should be a chart there that recommends wire sizes...everything from 0.023 to 0.045.

I use 0.025 in my Pro Mig 135 and 0.035 in my MM 251. You can weld with whatever wire you want and it will more than likely be adequate, but it will take more work and more wire to make a weld with smaller wire.
