W56 Transmission Woes - TOB and ID

Hi there guys, I have a few issues I was hoping you could maybe clear up for me.

I have a 1988 truck. It's unclear what is original with the truck at this point. I have 2 different stories from the previous owner comparing to what I can see.

So I got a clutch from Oreilley cause I'm in a hurry. Bolted up just fine, all that good stuff. The throw out bearing supplied was incorrect. I thought, no big deal, lets check the forums. Guys are like YEAH JUST PRESS IT OFF. Fine, I pressed it off the collar, but it doesnt fit.

So my question is, why does my 88 truck have an 89 style throw out bearing? Are these interchangable?
My truck had this style TOB

But it's still an 88. So I ordered a clutch for an 88 that fits, but won't be able to use the TOB that was supplied with the clutch, is it alright if I just ordered the above link and throw it in?

The clutch kit I had came with this.

Is it ok to interchange these?

Thank you....

I think the question is
Does it have a W56A / B or a W56C

Is the Transfer shifter in the transfer case or is it in the transmission...
And is the truck the earlier body style or the later (side marker light - straight up/down = old, slanted to the back like / is later generation

Shifter is on the transmission, but it's not a twin stick.

Its B or C. Not sure though.

Side markers are slanted, right?
