ok so im looking at buying another 94 4runner 22re 248,000 mile but has a strange click not the normal toyota one at first i though bad rocker but its every second or two and didnt have a patern it sounds like its not in the engine but out side it when you start it up it revs to like 2 grand and idles at like 1,000 to 1,500 and it seems like the click causes it to change idle every couple minutes up high for a second then back down for a minute or two i thought timing chain at fisrt but the engine other than that sounds great i havnt driven it yet but wondering if anyone has any ideas

Do you think you can give us some more info. I'd do what I did with my runner. Find a good shop that works mostly on toyotas and take it to them I payed like 60 bucks and this guy when though the car for about 2 days and then told me everything that he would do to it.

 

$4.00/hr is an awesome deal if you can find someone to work for that cheap.
