Truck has trouble starting!!!Some HELP!!!!

I own a 1990 4Runner 4x4 with the 3.0 V6. In the morning I go out to start it and I have to crank it for like 15 seconds. It seems to me like its not getting any gas. I don't think its the cold because I live in central AZ. I have never really worked on fuel injected vehicles to much so im not to sure what to do. It only does it on the initial start-up in the morning. Any suggestions? Is this a common problem with 4runners? What should I do to fix it? The truck currently has 163K on it.

It sounds like you might have a bad cold start injector. They run about $135 at Checker, and they are easy enough to get to that you don't need to remove your intake plenum.

It could be the cold start injector, or the cold start injector thermo/timing switch. It tells the ECU what the coolant temp is. If it's below a certain temp, it engages the CSI.
