trany and transfer swap from 22re to v6

Can I bolt up a 5 speed transmision and transfer case mate fron a 22re to a 3.0 v6?
Both are mid 90 models with factory 5 speeds. V6 has transmission problems and I like the gear drive transfer cases.

I don't think so. I don't even think you can swap bell housings.

The only way you could do it is if you had a R151F from a turbo 22RTE. You could use a bell housing from an early R150F from a 3.0. Direct swap.

Any other 22RE trans.........no.

I figured there would be a way someone had done it before but those are getting into hard to coe by parts. Probably be eaisier and cheaper to just addapt the transfer case to the v6 tranny. That animal already exist.
Thanks for the help.

Dual gear driven cases behind a v6 5 speed is awesome.
