Alright here's a new one.
When i shift from 1st to 2nd gear probably 1 out of 8 times it will pop out and grind when i release the clutch. I dont do a whole lot of work on transmission and such, i mainly stick to engines, but i thought i would ask you what you thought.
It doesn't matter if im easing my way through town, or to the floor, it still pops out every now and then and its getting on my nerves. im afraid im going to tear something up sooner or later. Help!

 

Bad synchros? Just drive it till it dies, or you can get a rebuilt from Marlin, or maybe just replace the shifter seat bushings from Marlin first. But if it's popping and grinding I'd say the 2nd gear synchros are on their way out.

 

Got it checked out, it was the syncros...
Im dropping a new transmission in in the next two to three weeks.
Money is tight, but im almost there!!!!
Until then 1st to 3rd
