Transfercase

I have a 87 pickup 4x4 auto trans. My grandad gave me his old Toyota rv 22re. Can I use his transmission and add a divorced transfer case and it work?

With fabrication skills and/or plenty money, anything is possible. It's likely that some sort of divorced t-case could be made to work.

Certainly the cheapest, lo hassle way would be to find a Toyota 4x4 tranny.
