I have a 95 runner with a bad A/T and im gonna convert to standard. I have a 4cyl trans/case and a friend can get a 2wd v6 bellhousing, I was jsut wondering if anyone knew if I could match the 6bell to the 1984 4cyl tranny/case

You can't do that unless you get a custom made bellhousing. The V6 bellhousing has a "large" bolt pattern to the transmission (R150F/R151F) and the tranny and case that you are wanting to use is a "small" pattern. Besides the tranny (carb 4cyl G52?) is way too weak to use with the V6 engine. Your best bet is to get an R151F turbo tranny and use that V6 bellhousing. It will bolt right up.

It won't match up, as mentioned above.
Where are you located? I've got a W56 bellhousing that I don't need if you are interested. $20 + Shipping.

That bellhousing will not work either unless he gets someone to cut both the V6 bellhousing and your W56 bellhousing and welds the V6 front half and W56 rear half together somehow.

thanks for your replies. 4runfreak, I live on guam so shippiing is not an option but thanks. I have another friend that has a v6 tranny(with no bell!!) so I have to find out if the 2wd bell will bolt to the 4wd trans. Again thanks.

The V6 bellhousing will work on both 4WD and 2WD transmissions. The rear end of the 2WD tranny does not have the correct tailshaft to connect to the VF1A chaindrive transfercase.
